CORI Sealing Clinics

During Summer 2021 Prophetic Resistance Boston leaders had the opportunity to engage with Black, Latino and Asian residents through our Summer CORI tables in Grove Hall and Nubian Square. We took an old bent up card table that was in someone’s basement and used to play spades on and transformed it into a kitchen table in our community. We had “holy ghost” conversations about the generational impact of CORIs and registered 200 folks for our CORI sealing Clinic in October.

At the October clinic, when Attorney Allison Cartwright the Executive Director of the Roxbury Defenders assisted us! PRB leaders were humbled by the the powerful stories of “struggle, but I am still standing resilience” of those who came to have their CORIs sealed giving new meaning to the catch phrase “Boston Strong”. Prophetic Resistance Boston is not finished with our work on CORI until we get all of our folks liberated! Freedom is not just about physical location, but it is about our mental health as individuals and as a community! We won’t stop at the fifty registered folks, we gonna keep on talkin’, walkin’ and buildin’ until we all are free! Stay tuned for…..Liberation Amplified!

BELOVED ECONOMY Pop-Up Shop

As we were out in the streets during Summer 2021 learning how CORI has restricted movement in our community, we also heard the stories of young people who have checked out of wanting to be employed within the confines of corporate America. They refuse to work in hostile, racist unhealthy environments that judge and restrict their potential. They have created their own source of revenue by hosting pop ups in backyards and selling products they have created and PRB hosted one such opportunity to grow a beloved economy.
